Multiple sources report that a second AutoZone White Plains worker was fired shortly after the union win for 'not stopping the union,' so the firing itself is supported. However, the Jacobin-sourced report calls that person 'another worker,' while only The Chief's account relayed by a low-credibility site calls him a 'store supervisor,' so the supervisor label is contested.

The host relays this claim without endorsing it. It counts as passed on, not against the post.

What was said

… Quote, "Despite repeated instruction not to advocate for the union, you continue to participate and or facilitate union activity at the store." The horror. The Chief also reports that days after Auton fired Du Kong, management fired a supervisor at the store for, quote, "failing to stop the union." It's just ah, just ridiculous, you know, like the whole situation, like, fuck it, relax. Like, God forbid you gotta give some workers a raise. Eleven workers. You gotta deal with, like, grow up. …

What we found

Contradicts. Jacobin's account describes the person fired for 'not stopping the union' as 'another worker,' not a supervisor, which conflicts with the claim's supervisor label. The company's position that DuCongé was a supervisor is a separate dispute.[1]

Supports. Jacobin's reporting, republished on Yahoo, says the day after DuCongé's firing another worker was fired for, in DuCongé and Valencia's words, 'not stopping the union,' and that Valencia was fired on October 3.[1]

Supports. The Chief's account, relayed by a low-credibility site, says days later the company fired a store supervisor for failing to stop the union; the UAW newsletter also describes a 'hatchet spree' of firings after the vote.[2][3]

Context. The claim's 'days later' timing is loosely consistent: Jacobin says the following day, The Chief says days later. The claim's wording matches the passage's quoted phrasing, so no extraction departure was found.[1][2]
