No provided source independently confirms or refutes that the administration removed 160,000 dead people from food stamp rolls. The figure appears only in the claimant's remarks and in coverage that repeats them, while the one related source (Snopes) discusses USDA findings about dead and double-enrolled recipients without this number.

A played clip makes this claim. Listeners heard it, so it counts against the post.

… And he's discovered billions, but that's a tiny fraction of what the real number is, and I think with this incentive, people are going to say, wow, it's going to keep a lot of people honest. I can tell you this: So, it's amazing. We've removed the names of 160,000 dead people from the list of food stamp recipients. These are people that died. Some of them were quite old, actually, well over 100, many, many over 100. We kicked 275,000 illegal aliens off of Social Security, and Frank has been amazing in Social Security. …

What we found

Context. The Snopes-tagged piece (dated Nov. 2025 in its text) says Secretary Rollins claimed USDA found thousands of dead and double-enrolled people on SNAP, but the excerpt gives no 160,000 figure and does not confirm the count.[1]

Context. The 160,000 figure appears only in the transcript of the October 20, 2026 event and in outlets that repeat it (RedState-based account, Rev transcript, Tommy Christopher substack); these restate the claim and cannot corroborate it.[5][6][7]

Context. Enrollment-decline reporting (Reuters, AP, FactCheck.org, Economic Times) documents large SNAP drops and attributes them partly to fraud, work rules, and the economy, but none addresses the number of deceased recipients removed.[2][3][4][8]
