Multiple tier1 and primary sources (Senate.gov bio, AP, BBC, Reuters) confirm Elissa Slotkin was a CIA analyst before entering Congress, so she is a former CIA employee. The claim is a faithful extraction of the passage's 'former CIA officer' phrase, with the spelling 'Alyssa' in the post corrected to Elissa, which the sources support.
Our two reads of who says this, and how, disagree, so it counts as the post's own claim.
